THE POWER OF MUSIC.

I was at a concert this month at London's The Royal Albert Hall. It was The Bootleg Beatles. Now I have seen The Beatles in concert, during the 1960's, and if you stop nit-picking to find something to complain about, then The Bootleg Beatles are the tribute band of all time. They managed to create not just the sound, but the excitement that was way back then. It is a shame that The Beatles never did a performance with the benefit of their full repitoire, with a backing orchestra. There were so many 'left undone' things that ended when The Beatles disbanded un circumstances that were nothing to do with music. Yet the power of music is how long it last, who chooses to sing it. Last week I listened to a recording of Nina Simone singing John Lennons In My Life, it was so touching, so dam classic, and created to last. Some music has that power, it is as if everlasting. Will there be a Bootleg Beatles tribute band, they will take a beating, but it is the power of the music of The beatles that is the key.
