Its not easy being human
your born into a race for life,
yet you have this imagination
that fights to survive.
So as you grow
you feed it
believe you can become,
a singer an actor a musician
not just another human.
So you think outside the box
let you dreams escape
stand before a mirror
imagine you are great.
You did the unthinkable
you stopped believing in a box
you are now the one
that always was.

Your parents tell you
stop daydreaming

when in fact they had themselves
dreamed such dreams
when they were young.
Now you have grown
so has the dream
reality is what it has sown,

dare I step out of the box
try to become that one.
That imagined box has kept you trapped
ever since you were a child,
now opportunity stands before you
to grasp it you find so hard,
confidence is what you lack
so heads up
pull your shoulders back
go step outside
do not look back,

be the person you always were
without the prison of that box
